Plant Walk and Social Hour - Betty Ford Alpine GardenJoin CNGA for a high-elevation horticultural experience at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, the world’s highest botanical garden—and a gem of alpine plant diversity and conservation. Date: Thursday, July 24, 2025 We’ll start with a brief talk by Mike Kintgen, Curator of Alpine Collections at Denver Botanic Gardens, who will explore the connections and contrasts between DBG’s alpine garden and Betty Ford’s stunning display. We’ll also hear from a representative from Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, who will share the fascinating story behind the garden’s development, their ongoing Alpine Conservation Program, and what’s on the horizon. Then it’s time to explore! Join us for a guided tour through the gardens and experience firsthand how alpine plants are preserved, displayed and celebrated in this one-of-a-kind setting, followed by drinks and snacks in the garden - a chance to mingle and reflect with your fellow members. Whether you're passionate about alpine ecology, seeking design inspiration or just looking to enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon in the mountains with your green industry peers, this plant walk is not to be missed.
