Fall 2023 CCNP Seminar Series 

CNGA’s Colorado Certified Nursery Professional (CCNP) program promotes high quality standards and professionalism for the Colorado nursery industry. Managing or working in a nursery requires an in-depth knowledge of plant identification, physiology, soil, pruning and other nursery growing elements. These seminars provide an in depth study of common nursery plant identification as well as basic landscape design concepts and practice.

Certification provides the knowledge and tools that can add value to your professional development, while also benefiting your company and your customers. Individuals holding this certification are uniquely trained and have a high level of industry knowledge. The seminars are recommended to prepare for the exam, but can also be taken 'a la carte' as refresher courses or to advance your horticulture education.

If you wish to become certified, you will be required to register for (fee required) and pass an exam (minimum 75% score). You will also have to complete an exam application that documents at least 2,000 hours of verifiable employment with a Colorado licensed nursery, garden center, greenhouse, contractor, allied industry, or be a member of a green industry association in Colorado or neighboring Rocky Mountain state.

New Location: Due to a larger than expected turnout, the seminars have been moved from the CNGA Offices to the Lakewood Visitors Center at Heritage Park, Orchard Room, 801 S. Yarrow Street, Lakewood.

• Shrubs: Tuesday, November 7, 9 am - 3 pm  
  
• Trees: Tuesday, November 14, 9 am - 3 pm  
  
• Landscape Design: Tuesday, November 28, 9 am - 3 pm  
• Exam: Tuesday, December 5, 9 am – 1 pm
