CGG Classes and Exam at ProGreen EXPO 2023
Thursday, February 02, 2023, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM MDT
Category: Certification

The Certified Greenhouse Grower (CGG) program is designed to promote high quality standards and professionalism for the greenhouse industry. Earning the CGG certification benefits both the individual and the company for whom they work.

There are three steps that lead to CGG certification:

  • Complete an exam application (prior to taking the exam) that confirms your industry experience - at least 2000 hours of verifiable employment with a registered greenhouse, garden center, contractor, or an allied industry is required.
  • Attend six required classes offered during ProGreen, or have taken all six online, that prepare you to take the exam. Your participation will be verified.
  • Pass the exam with a minimum grade of 75%.

To attend the CGG preparatory classes and sit for the exam at ProGreen EXPO, please follow these instructions:

  1. Register through the ProGreen website for either a 2 or 3 day conference pass. You will not be admitted to the CGG classes without the proper ProGreen pass.
  2. Complete and return the CGG exam application - click here. Applications must be received by Friday, January 27 (via email or mail), or you can bring the application to the exam with you.
  3. Register for the CGG exam (required) and purchase the optional CGG study manual (recommended) – click here.
