CNGA’s Colorado Certified
Nursery Professional (CCNP) program promotes high quality standards and pro
fessionalism for the Colorado nursery industry. Managing or working in a nu
rsery requires an in-depth knowledge of plant identification, physiology, s
oil, pruning and other nursery growing elements. These seminars provide an
in depth study of common nursery plant identification as well as basic land
scape design concepts and practice.
Certification provides the knowledge
and tools that can add value to your professional development, while also b
enefiting your company and your customers. Individuals holding this c
ertification are uniquely trained and have the highest level of industry kn
owledge. The seminars are recommended to prepare for the exam, but can also
be taken 'a la carte' as refresher courses or to advance your horticulture

If you wish to become certi
fied, you will be required to take and pass an exam (minimum 75% score). Yo
u will also have to complete an exam application that documents at least 2,
000 hours of verifiable employment with a Colorado registered greenhouse, g
arden center, contractor or an allied industry.
