Plant Walk and Social Hour - CSU Hort Center & Arboretum

Join CNGA for a summer plant walk at Colorado State University Horticulture Center! 

Date: Wednesday, July 8, 2026
Time: 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. (Plant Walk roughly 3:30 – 5:00 p.m., Social Hour to follow)
Location: Colorado State University Horticulture Center, 1707 Centre Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80526
Cost: Free for CNGA members (registration required for headcount purposes)

This plant walk brings together innovation and real-world application, starting with a guided look at a crevice garden installation by Kenton Seth and Ross Shrigley. From there, we’ll head south (on foot) to explore the experimental tree research plots with insights from Dr. Jim Klett and Dr. Daniel Burcham, highlighting species performance, trialing efforts and what’s showing promise for Colorado landscapes.

After the walk, we’ll keep the conversation going with a casual social hour at a nearby favorite, Prost Brewing Company - a chance to connect, unwind, and swap takeaways with fellow members.
