Legislative Update
Updates on the September CNGA visits to Washington, DC -
Tom Halverstadt (Country Lane Wholesale Nursery), Matt Edmundson (Arbor Valley Nursery), and Sharon Harris (CNGA) met with the legislative assistants for 3 of the 5 New Mexico legislators, Senator Jeff Bingaman, Senator Tom Udall, and Representative Martin Heinrich. We shared with all three offices that the chapter was working on the certification program and plan to do an economic impact study with both projects being supported in some way by the New Mexico Department of Ag and the Specialty Crops grant.
