Visit an independent garden center to find a healthy tree for your yard this spring, and you can help send horticultural students to college. Are you going to plant a tree this season? You can be sure to get the best value and help someone in your community by buying a “Trees for Education” tree. Every time, you purchase one of these quality trees, students at Colorado State University and Front Range Community Collegereceive scholarship funds. One hundred percent of your payment for the tree goes to support horticultural education. CNGA members donate trees to our retail members to display and sell to their customers. The retailers donate the income from the tree sales to the Colorado Nursery Research and Education Foundation (CNREF), which funds scholarships and research in the horticultural industry. Thanks to many generous individuals and organizations, to date the foundation has provided $132,939 for research and $134,650 for scholarships. You can find Trees for Education, marked with a special tag to identify them at the following retail locations: |
