Certified Greenhouse Growers Program (CGG)

The Certified Greenhouse Growers Program (CGG) is designed to encourage a more educated workforce with a basic level of proficiency. It also promotes high quality standards for those involved in the greenhouse industry.

Certification Requirements

Applicants must have 2 years or 2,000 hours work experience with a Colorado State registered greenhouse, garden center, landscape contractor, or an allied industry. Attendance at all seminars is required to sit for the exam.

Get certified or send your employees to the Certified Greenhouse Growers program to learn the core principles of growing greenhouse crops.  

  •  This program gives you an educated workforce with a basic level of proficiency and a high standard of quality for the people involved in the greenhouse industry in Colorado.
  •  The instructors are working industry professionals applying the latest techniques and information in every class.
  •  Earning a certification designation illustrates a higher level of professionalism benefiting each individual and company for whom they work.

To sit for the exam, attendance is required at all of the preparatory seminars. Upon passage of the exam you will receive a personalized certificate, recognition at the CNGA Annual Banquet and name badge.

Session 58: 9:15 - 11:00 a.m. - Greenhouse Basic Plant Propagation

Session 59: 1:30 - 3:15 p.m. - Greenhouse Insect Pests Class & Lab

Session 60: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Greenhouse Pesticide Classification Uses & Impacts

* You must attend all classes listed above to take the exam for certification! 

Registration information: Download the Registration FORM or contact CNGA at info@coloradonga.org, 303-758-6672 or 88-758-6672 with questions or to register and pay. Registrants must cancel within 72 hours of program to receive a full refund. For CNGA members, the fee for seminars and exam is $120 and an optional $30 for the manual, or $110 for a package deal including the seminars, exam and manual. For non-members, the fee for the exam and seminars is $240 and an optional $60 for the manual (no package deal available).
